On October 13, 2025, the Tsiuni indigenous collective filed a lawsuit against the Peruvian government with the Mixed Court of Nauta, in the Loreto region, demanding the creation of a truth commission to investigate the serious human rights violations committed during the rubber boom era. This discussion aims to create a space for transdisciplinary dialogue between anthropology, history, and law, with the goal of facilitating critical reflection on the relationships between memory, the right to truth, justice, and reparations, within the context of historical violence in the contemporary Indigenous Amazon.
