Ana Gabriela Morim de Lima

Ana Gabriela Morim de Lima is a professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES). She has a master’s and a PhD in Anthropology from the Graduate Program in Sociology and Anthropology at UFRJ and a post-doctorate from the Department of Anthropology at USP. Her main line of research is the contribution of indigenous peoples to agrobiodiversity, knowledge regimes, territorialities and threats. Since 2004 she has been carrying out ethnographic research and projects with the Krahô people (TO). She is the adjunct coordinator of the Indigenous Intercultural Degree Program (PROLIND UFES); and a researcher at the Gaia: Peoples of the Earth research group (UFES) and L’UMR Patrimoines Locaux, Environnement et Globalisation (PALOC – IRD/MNHN Paris). She co-organized the books Vozes Vegetais: diversidade, resistências e histórias da floresta (Ubu/IRD) and Práticas e saberes sobre agrobiodiversidade: A contribuição de Povos Tradicionais (IEB – winner of the Juliana Santilli Prize for agrobiodiversity).
